ASR or Function7?

You lucky EK9'ers, we have this ugly mass of metal hanging off the underside of our cars...weight weight and more weight. Don't feel left out, you have what we all wish we could have to be honest, no brace.

I was thinking about this the other day, could you not just do what honda did with the ek9 and toughen up the rear suframe with some 16 gauge steel? Save a whole bunch of money too.
