Hi all!

after tracking my ek4 for the 2nd time, i hve realised better stopping power & handling is required!! :naughty:

brakes iam quite informed on, many too choose frm etc... and soon save up for an LSD!!:nice:

tho 1st a damper upgrade. was keen on the Tein SS or the Tokico Illumina's but i see many '9' owners satisfied with the stock dampers for dailly driving and occasional track days...

so, can get hold of the stock dampers frm the local dealer approx for £300. wot a set of SS or Tokico will cost me inc shipping costs etc. this way i can keep my Spoon progressive springs which r specific for those :D [locally roads not in vry good shape]...

2 questions:
with stock 9 dampers + Spoon i should upgrade the sway bars right?

for this iam pretty sure i would need the ASR brace :blinx: :blinx:

eBay Motors: ASR BLACK REAR SUBFRAME BRACE 96-00 HONDA CIVIC EK SI (item 140245767632 end time Jul-30-08 17:37:43 PDT)

could some one tell me if this set in ebay is the real deal or a fake?

tx sorry for the long read...:wow:

ASR brace would defo be needed, if you have a look at my SKUNK2 Pro-C build up on previous page you will see my setup which may help you out :)
James.

thanks..!

ASR brace looks tuff piece of kit... tho i would only need this if i upgrade the sway bars right?

The EK9 has got a Reinforcement in the rear opposite to the ek4

the ASR has got no interrest on ek9
Bigger sway bar is really a good udpate on EK4
it exist a kit the ASR brace+ ASR 24mm sway bar
or the alternativ ASR brace + EK9 sway bar (i think it is in 22mm)

any other ek den ek9 doesnt have the support for a thicker sway bar;
usually installing a thick sway bar n driving aggressively might cause it to rip.

i m having a ek2; installed a 22mm sway bar. n i got myself a asr brace as well.
