Hiya,
One of the bolts on my rear LCAs has seized into the bush. It's the middle one.. It connects the shock to the lca. I've managed to get it out after alot of swearing and grinding away with a dremal! I'm going to Honda today to buy a new bolt and bush and was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting the new one in?
I've looked at replacing the whole LCA as recommended by afew people but can't justify the costs as it's only the one bush that's a bastard!
Any help much appreciated :nice:

put the new one in the freezer over night. will defo help getting it in. then just tap in with a. large copper hammer or lump hammer.

I used a press before and also heated the LCA before pressing it in, went in handy enough.

A mixture of both the above is your best option mate.

Freeze the bush the night before & warm the LCA with a blow torch before fitting the bush, should tap in nice and easy this way!

I have no access to a press unfortunately but I'll get it in the freezer and tap tap tap it in :nice: thanks guys!

Forget what I said I thought you meant the trailing arm bush:angry2:

Well, I tried for two days to get this bastard bush in the lca. So I gave up and took it down to my local mechanics.. He had a press and it litarally took him less than a minute to pop it in, and didn't charge me a penny :nice: I would recommend to not even attempt it yourself.. Leave it to the pro's.. Or atleast someone that has a press :))

Glad you got it sorted matey!:nice:

If i had of known you could have brought it to mine last week & i could have done it for you!
At least it didnt cost you!
