any such thing as upgraded B-series clutch master/slave cyliner?

any such thing as upgraded B-series clutch master/slave cyliner?

opinions plz

I was also thinking about this when I saw this master clutch cylinder on ebay and did read what they say about this cylinder branded OMNI

96-00 HONDA CIVIC CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER EG EK OEM JDM - eBay (item 370479808290 end time Feb-28-11 14:05:27 PST)

Omni-Power relies on over 10 years of racing experience to develop its unique product line. Our Quicklutch master cylinder (QMC) was developed as a means to lower lap times on the drag strip, road course and auto-cross track. This unique performance part is a byproduct of our companies experience in design and innovation. The outer body is constructed of cast aluminum using modern OEM casting methods, then precisely CNC machined. OEM rubber seals used on brake master cylinders are fitted to a specially designed piston and one way valve. This results in a range of motion about 45% less than the stock pedal travel. Comparing our QMC to a stock clutch master cylinder, we use a 21mm piston which moves the same volume of fluid as the stock 15.8mm piston in a much shorter motion. This shorter motion results in faster shifting times as a direct result of having less clutch pedal travel to complete the gear change cycle. One would have to agree that in a typical road course if you make 15 up shifts each lap and each one reduces time by a very conservative measurable amount like .025 (1/4 of a tenth of a second) seconds, they will add up to a much larger gain over a period of time....15X.025= .375 seconds per lap. Add that to a 20 lap race and you get 7.5 seconds.

^what does that do to the syncros I wonder...

Summary of the many benefits:

Track proven to reduce road circuit and 1/4 mile times.

Restores harmonious synchronization to clutch pedal and short shifter

Increases stock clutch performance and works with all aftermarket clutches

Greatly reduces mis-shifting

Hassle free 2 year warranty

OEM replacement for worn out stock clutch master cylinders-Improves clutch pedal feel

Allows sequential like shifting

More relaxed and natural shifting technique

Crisper more defined clutch engagement

As they say on ebay!!!

^^hummmm, it is interesting. Are you going to go for it? :drive:

Not sure yet, I am confused with it for 1 reason.

My clutch master cylinder piping attaches verticaly to the cylinder, and this on seems to attach at 45 degrees coming from the firewall, if you know what I mean.

I think mines is JDM, and that one is a USDM style. Not sure about it.

Also my reserve attaches from underneath the master cylinder, and this OMNI it attaches from above.

If I plan on using this OMNI, I will need to get someone to adjust my clutch fluid line

Maybe I would need to take a picture of mines, and load it to compare.

This pic if from ebay item.

Where else do they sell cylinder clutches for JDM Honda civic 92-95 EG6??

Shouldn't do anything honestly. It's the Clutch/Shuft timing that screws a synchro. I believe it says it evens out the Clutch/Shifter difference you get when you put a SS. Hence why most ppl say SS screw synchros. The SS dont. There timing and shifting does. Thus Omni made the QuickShift M/C to help re-sync your Clutch and Shifter and they can live happily ever after...

Like that story? Lol jk

Omni have some really good stuff actually. A friend of mine is using this on his ek9 & he loves it! He told me the clutch pedal is like a button now.

Ace! Thank you, and hell yes I loved the short story. :nice:

Are you going to try this out DOkt3r? I'm quite interested to see the results if you do :nice:

how much lighter would this make my clutch feel on pedal?
as i want as light of clutch pedal as possible
30% possibly,
how much would it be all in posted to uk?

I'm not fully sure about this mod either. Its going to shorten the throw of the clutch alot and i quite like the factory throw length. If its shorter it'll make it a bit toucher and not as accurate when you're wanting to get the right about of slip off the line. I dont know, might have to try it.

The other upgrade people do, more for looks and simplicity is the S2000 MC which puts the whole setup down lower on the firewall all in one. Looks bloody tidy.

It'll make it heavier. Because the piston is bigger piston moves more fluid it will in turn require a tad more effort from the driver.

Exedy OEM's are about as light as you'll get.

Please Note: This item reduces the amount of travel required to shift gears. Therefore, more force will be required to depress the clutch pedal. Please keep this in mind when making your purchase.

And also it say's it makes the motion 45% less, that means maybe 45% heavier instead of lighter in feel as I hightlighted, Therefore, more force will be required to depress the clutch pedal.

This is a performance but not what you wanted.

And about shipping, ask the seller. He will knows how much it will cost you to UK. I asked for my country, and shipping cost was $35

aw i see ,thanks for all clear info,
this item is not for me then id say,
any aftermarket upgraded B-series clutch master/slave cyliners
that will make clutch pedal feel lighter /less effort to press?
how does s2000 M/C feel,straight fit?

As long as the M/C Pistons is smaller than the Factory 15.8mm Piston it'll be lighter. But be advise that you are now gonna have more pedal travel than stock which you may not like.

There are NO other B-series clutch master/slave culinders I know about that will make clutch pedal feel lighter or with less effort to press.

I haven't try out a S2000 Master Cylinder Clutch, and for fitment you need modifications. Brake fluid line is horizontal located and the reservoir is direct attached to the cylinder.
Bolding position is not at same position as what we use.

The lightest clutch feel I think you can have, is using OEM Clutch master and slave cylinders and also OEM Clutch and presure plate. If you perform to a stage 1 or up, you will have that feel for more efford on clutch pedal.

I did install the OMNI M/C today. It is awesome man!!!

Omni have some really good stuff actually. A friend of mine is using this on his ek9 & he loves it! He told me the clutch pedal is like a button now.

x2! I love the OMNI M/C too! Real clutch performance is here. Now I feel I am having a clutch. Shifting has never been so good.

Well today was my first test drive with my new OMNI Performance Clutch. I will load pictures later.

The clutch feels heavier! But the feeling is awesome. Power shifting has never been so easy.
