Was on vtecdirect last night, would need to get a second mortgage to buy all the parts I want off there !
Does anybody know if these perform as good as they look ? Do you think that they are worth the money or are there cheaper systems that are just as effective? I'm quite keen to go titanium for the weight saving.

what's your engine setup? The R1 you're talking about is the under axle unit right?

Will be on totally stock engine, unless the one I import has a few mods on in. I don't know if it's an under axle unit, not much info on vtecdirect, just thought it looked awesome. Sorry that's not much help to go on. Just curious if anybody had any experience with them.

can you post more information about this exhaust? or a photo?

4.7 KG or 3.3 without subtie. Costs about £1000!

not sure if this is actually the EK9 system, but gives you an idea

The design looks ok, whats the tube diameter? 60 mm? if yes get it! you'll loose some weight and add some performance, I would definitely recommend you to use a after market 4-2-1 header with this exhaust!

I would email vtecdirect and inquire as to what the system actually looks like - My friend had an older Amuse catback setup that was under axle and it supported his 200whp build just fine.

That was many many moons ago before the whole "burn titanium" look was made so popular today.

i think thats off an ep3 civic well the we photo on the top right. they are really good exhausts cost a fair bit tho i just feel you can get more for your money. i.e a 5zigen header decat and a 5zigen cat back and still have money left for a good induction kit

The amuse systems do indeed go under the lca.. Straight through design. made out of titanium and Very loud!

Hmmmmmmmmm, sooner or later with that type of exhausts (under the lca) anyone will scratch or damage the exhaust :(

very true, however, under the lca is the way to keep the pipes as staright as possible

Correct, but for a daily drive! :( I find it not appropriate.

I hate to take out my ITR because of this problem, the muffler + exhaust tube under the lca has taken a lot of abuse :(

Thanks guys really useful information, as my 9 will be my daily drive, I guess this exhaust wouldn't really be appropriate.

The problem is that it will hang just too low! my exhaust hits speed bumps! imagine that! :nono:

We have got one ready to go on ours, still not sure we will fit yet, as its an un silenced one and think it maybe a tad too loud.

that's the one Ben at A&J Racing had years ago on his EK.

It'll make you stop, droll and roll with how loud it is...get ready for a good time... :p
