Am I too old for an EK9

Meh, 35, married with kiddie, and we have a DC2 as our daily. if you want grown up think of it as an aspiring classic!!!

I'm 35 with an ek9 for the last 6 years & an ep3 as a daily. Never too old imo

31 and love driving my ek9, you're at the age where insurance isn't that much of an issue so make the most of it.

Andy mate, don't worry what others think, as many said, if you enjoy it, keep it,

I have had my civic for 7 years and still love driving it and as said, nothing like going for a nice blast :D

Stuff 'em all I say - Dont worry about what other people think or say, its your life and your money so live it as you so wish!
I will be 45 tomorrow and I have had my 9 for nearly 6 years now and love every moment of it.
Enjoy.........:drive:

Im 45, and have no issues with being in the drivers seat of a civic. Its my cheap race car, and proud of it damn-it. :p

In my work I'm known as the boy racer as I pull up in my ek9 every weekend . This is funny at the moment however when going for more managerial positions I would like to shift this stigma .. No doubt ill be selling my car on soon enough and buying a daily and something mega for my days off . I do get why you are saying you feel like you've outgrown the ek9 as to most a white car and white wheels only screams Chav . Us in the know see them for what they really are . The most badass and best looking civic to date .

I don't understand why people worry so much about what others think. Be a bit "selfish" and do what you want. If your mates look down on you just because you chose to drive in a 17 year old Honda then they are not very good mates. I am turning 30 in a couple weeks and I don't feel too old for my 9 lol!

Just to clarify, I am not worried what my mates think. It is I who sometimes doesn't like meeting up with them all and they are all in much 'nicer' newer cars. They DO NOT in anyway look down on me for having such car, few of them wish that theirs was as fun to drive. I am truly happy with driving mine, just would like an extra daily for my stated reasons.

Boyle - You shouldn't sell mate, a r33 gtr will just drain your pockets and wont give you any more satisfaction.... My friend has just sold his r33, spent thousands on it, engine was all polished and mint, 550hp, midnight purple, absolutely stunning example.....and has just sold it for a basic stage 1 s14a so he can have more fun driving again.

Your ek9 in particular is lovely, just enjoy it!

Yeah agree, who gives a fcuk about age, 27 next month and still loving cruising around on a nice day in the 23 year old ef :p
Most my mates have moved onto m3's, evo's, skyline's etc and i could do the same but would probz end up back in another honda again anyway :p

Absolutely this ^^.

Live your life in your eyes not someone elses. People tend to forget that alot, you're not here to please others!

aha this sounds familiar ;)

Man if you wanna keep your 9 keep it, echoing the above statements.

When I was younger I used to assume 'oh yeah when Im 25 il be driving GTR/M3/Nasa Space Ship' but now that it is approaching I dont actually want any of those cars, keeping ek9 for life.

EK9 is the second coolest car of all time. Do not be swayed.

When I read your post all I saw was this;
I love driving my civic and there is nothing better than going for a blast in it of an evening.

You are not old enough to own an EK9, if you need to ask this question. :p

im 28 and only just got rid of mine but to be honest i dont regret it prob due to not being able to afford to use it properly and it not being the most practical

No Andy! Never too old

I am 45 and love my B16B EK. Soon to do a K20 swap! I am senior emergency room resident with wife and two kids. I still enjoy parking next to all the Audi's, BMW's and Benz's in the reserved parking for doctors. My EK looks good and still stands out!:win::win:

Plus, my son wants it when he gets his license. Thankfully that's about 6yr away!:D

I thought the same before buying the EK9, however I now do not give a toss!

I was just about to say - I've just bought one and I'm nearly 45.... However the current exhaust is WAY too noisy for me....
