Hi,

Alright lads, been a long time lurker ere so thought id actually register when i finally bought an EK9 on Saturday there.

Silver 1997 with 28K miles and in totally mint condition bar steering wheel, gear knob and cd player that were stolen on transit from japan!

Enjoyin the first few days driving seems fairly responsive although never thought it would of been so dead before vtec kicks in lol

Car is more or less standard bar Jasma back box, top fuel induction kit and earthing kit, 16" enkei alloys and full Tein coilovers.

Would be greatful if anyone could point me in the right direction for a nice honda, spoon etc gear knob lol

hey welcome to the forum, congrats on the purchase, :pics: gear knob hmmm... it depends on what you like, but i prefer the skunk2 weighted shift knob, it looks stock but the extra weight helps make shifting feel very smooth and effortless.
 
Welcome mate. Do you mind me asking where you got your ek9 from?. Im looking into buying one soon, and I'm looking for a reputable importer that will get a nice 97 over for me
 
I actually live in N.Ireland but headed over to Leeds/Bradford on Saturday to Smart Wheels.

Wouldn't bother using them again.:mad:

Try and buy off a local personsave the hassle of a dealer!!!
 
Alot of traders/importers around that area have a bad rep. Were they linked to direct trade sales and keighly trade centre dyou know?

welcome 2 the site car sounds mint except for the parts stolen....jasma on ur exhaust isnt a brand tho its a quality stamp!!

yea i actually thought that lad as my last car celica gt4 wrc had the same stamp on it too.

Yea parts stolen sucks so i need a gd decent cd player/tv, gear knob and steering wheel so if any1 can point me in the right direction!

Lovin the Type R ownership, such a dull car when not reved but such an animal when.

Does a manifold make a big difference?!

Standalone no way to feel big difference on the B16B! You definitely need more upgrades........
 
em, the car already has top fuel induction kit, backbox which i don't no who makes it at the moment, earthing kit and think thats bout it! oh i believe the integra throttle body fits and makes a gd addition with mannifold?!

does the rear muffler wit the jasma stamp look like a motorbike exhaust can????if so its mugen!!
 
iam liking it...:nice:

your ctr being silver, replacing tail lights to 99-00 will look good.
