I'm utterly clueless tbh so bear with me...
I've found the aircon removal thread on here, but it's pretty much blowing my mind with no photos! I have no idea what bits what at all - never had a car with aircon, never had an ek9 before, so im getting stuck. I've had my gas checked, and it's completely empty so I just want to crack on with taking it out
-Can anyone give me a quick run down on the removal and explain which bits are which (possibly with photos of whats what?) (AC dryer, condenser, evaporator box etc - not a clue?!)
-Also what are the important things to do/tips to remember when doing this?
-I've found a few threads mentioning bungs for the firewall, plus replacement piping/boxes for in the dash..Can anyone confirm what it is exactly I'll need to completely remove everything?
-I know my battery needs to come off...it's an aftermarket Toad alarm (again, something I've never had) am i right in thinking the alarm needs to put into a certain mode to take it off?
-Also seen a thread saying air flow to engine rad is reduced?! Can someone explain this, I'd assume air flow would be better if anything
pictures of what exactly is what would really be helpful!
Thanks guys
