hi guys,
recently i bought a msd product blaster coil ss.so my mechanic install it according to msd instruction. i notice in order to install, he has to take out the distributor. i was thinking, since my management is e-manage,if we take out the distributor or try to move it, it would mess up the tuning. is it?i did put a mark on the distributor but from my past experience if you try to advance or retard by moving it you wont get back the previous tuning even though you put back at the marked position. coz rite now the car feels heavy as soon as i install the msd. throttle response is there, but the car feels slow.

yeah maybe i just go have the car tune, but here i have to pay $350. but if its true that my tuning set up already mess up coz of taking out the dsitributor, i dont mind paying.

what do you think guys?

boy installed one of these on a highcomp b18c jordan, and it literally blew into pieces. whats the spec of your car that a standard dizzy wont do the job?

Why have you brought one of these ? Unless your car is boosted and is breaking up under high boost there pointless.

P.s. Blow that emanage up and switch to a p28/30

Hi im new and would like to knw if ther are ill effects of the external blaster coil that I should know about?

Why do you need to run one ? If you don't need it don't run it.

overkill unless you have 450+ hp but still then the OEM honda should be fine.

one of my mates has just put one in his ek4 n a raced him before and after n his car was a lot slower and rougher after the blaster was in! when he first mentioned it it sounded good but after a bit of research n seeing it in action, no way!

exactly mate its like shoving in some secret spec spoon cams and running stock valve train.

its stupid lol

But I thought a blaster coil provides strong and stable sparking? What is the explanation behind having poorer power??
