Hi all, my name is Tom, from Nuneaton

A little bit about myself, Im 21, currently driving a modified 2005 SEAT Ibiza Cupra running 231bhp.

I'm a member of the cupra forum but Joined ek9.org as Im in the market to sell my beloved SEAT and acquire an EK9.

Never owned a honda, started out with a peugeot 106 GTI and since that I moved onto the Cupra, absolutely love it but cant resist the vtec!

I am passionate about cars, a real enthusiast however my background on engine mechanics is fairly vague. As I say looking to get my hands on a EK9, preferably white, minor modifications nothing seriously modded under 100k miles, dont mind traveling for the right motor, looking to spend around £4.5K

At the minute im on my works computer, supposed to be doing some work, but got distracted.... anyway heres a few pics of my SEAT, I will upload some of the full car when Im at home on my Mac.

Hopefully the EK9 forum is as friendly as the Cupra and I hope I can get my hands on an EK9 sharpish!

Cheers

Welcome to the forum bud. Proper good site this. Real nice community. Glad to hear your going Honda. I feel you will need to add £500 too what your looking at spending for what you want though. Nice seat by the way. Hope your purchase goes well.

Hi Rubble, Ive read from reviews and feedback that its a real good community of enthusiasts so well looking forward to getting stuck in!

Yes 4.5K is like middle of my budget, just put that hoping someone with a car worth about 5k would be interested in a quick sale :) haha.

Yeah the beezer is a great car, solid VAG build quality, lot of car for the money and pretty quick too. What are you currently driving?

Friend of mine has a seat Leon Cupra.
He seems to like it coming from his dc2.
Welcome to the forum

Hi Jesse888,
yeah the Leons are very good cars, good on the road, even better when converted to track cars. The DC2's are stunning cars, always admire the Teg's!

Yeah thats a fair point, beat them down!:)) im currently driving a 2000rx ek9. Just bought a k20 lump and box, plus dc sub frame etc etc. Yeah i agree, hell of alot of motor with a seat. Alot of bang for the bucks. You hoping to attend some meets and that?

Very nice, just what Im looking for! How do you like it? got a RR or pics?
yeah definitely looking to attend some meets, local and national, been to the usual sort of meets never been to a proper day out though, on the track and strip, would love to go along when I eventually find a motor :)

Quality. Yeah iv got the Honda bug pretty bad. Most of them iv kept standard and just maintained at a almost obsessive level. But going all out on this one. Cant wait. They are proper fun and quite surprising to drive. Still surprises me now. Ill def be hitting a few tracks once its done. I havnt driven a 9 on track yet, its about time i did. Having owned 2. Here are some pics.

Yeah, I think when I get my first one I'll catch the bug! Just wish I was a few years older and could have owned one from new! haha

Respect for the civics, so clean :nice: Very nice!

Im sure you will get the bug. Sure would have been nice to have a brand new one! Check out boyles build thread in members rides, its as good as new.
The pictures are of the same car. I changed the reg just to get it out of the way before the swap. Not too many parts to buy now.

Welcome, I'm from Nuneaton too, I am currently selling my EG6 SIR-II which may interest you :)

Welcome to the forum, good luck on your search for finding an EK9, you won't regret it :)

Hi mate, nice to see another Nuneaton-er about the forum, havent seen your civic round though. Thanks for the PM, however I cant send any until I have 20 post, hence the reason Im quoting everyone back individually rather than all at once so I can start PM'ing.

In reply to your PM though I am really looking for a 9, however your EG6 is looking sweet :). why selling up though?
