Hello guys!
I have a quick question.
Does EK9 CTR come with ABS?
I know DC2 ITR comes with it. I was just curious.
Thanks in advance.

talk about ABS, i haven't had a chance to try it yet. might do it in the wet when in my road.....

does anyone else think the standard brakes are quite good?

OEM EK9 brakes and suspension can reliably support 30-40 bhp over stock. Beyond that, you start feeling a bit uncomfortable when pushing to the limits, but alwlays remember, you can put a set of really lightened wheels to improve your braking and handling without upgrading the suspension/brakes :nice:
Reducing the overall weight of the car always improves hp/torque, braking and handling but when removing weight from the wheels, the effect is twice as much!

my 97 ek9 has no ABS, my girlfriends 98 facelift has ABS

That's really strange to be honest! Are you sure that no previous owner had removed them?

im a ex honda tec mate. my abs has not been removed, i checked it all out on the honda epc.

All ek9 (exluding race base) came with ABS as a standard, but when you buy one you had the option to remove it.

Since all japanese drivers likes to improve and test their driving skills; thats why a lof of our ek9s don't have ABS :)

i dont have ABS either! but then again i do have an ej6!

I wouldn't want an EK9 without ABS, mines got me out of a couple of sticky situations!

ABS sucks in ice or snow but that's only for a few weeks of the year.

is there anyway you can put ABS in a ek9 that didnt come with it???

learn how to brake without it m8 :)
ABS can be achieved without the mechanism.
just an alternative ;)

My PFL EK9 didn't come with ABS, my friend's 98 did, both JDM models. He removed hi though, and put on Spoon calipers (looks baller) with some crazy competition pads, brakes nearly as good as mine!

Although ANOTHER friend who has an EK9 let me take it out on the track for a few laps, and the ABS let me trail brake all the way through the corners - it was pretty fun. Gave lots of oversteer though, which was fun too

abs rules lol :p

i dunno i kinda prefer not havin it....i feel iv more control wit out it...an it saves a bit of weight not havin it in it all adds up:D id do track days naked if they'd let me hahaha:p:p:p:p:p
