A winter that has ended up bad for the evo :(

Alright guys well as u will have seen got a lot of snaps of my evo during the winter period, and had a great laugh in it. However decided to take it for one last spin last night due to it snowing up my bit and the jordan being as much use as a lawnmower in the snow lol

Got a puncture on the way home with tyre shredding on the inside wall and coming off the rim, and to top it off ecu has started playing up again. All simple fixes i thought until i stuck it up on the ramp today and found that i need the following:

1. brand new discs pads all round
2. brand new tyre(ordered already)
3. ecu has a few faults showing up :(
4. exhaust has a massive crater of a blow at the gasket seal and on top of the pipe
5. after losing traction in the snow and sliding off the drive slightly, kerbed one of the wheels :( (just lucky there due to get refurbed)
6. buy a set of winter wheels
7. fully underseal the car
8 . full service needed for the second time
9. mot due in february as well as mot

so looks like its going to be an expensive next month :( just lucky to have the jordan back now, while the evo is off the road.

so no the best start to 2011 for the evo
 
if youre planning on robbing a bank count me in , could use some $$ to spend on my 9 :p
 
Feel sorry for you mate, tough times! Shame you have to use a car like that in the winter months :(

yeh the car is great and is worth spending the money on its just a fortune :p its built for winter months so is great for all weather, as the honda is garaged over winter
 
That must suck man, i'll bet that thing is dam good fun in the snow.

wish my EG had a Snow setting.... lol
 
break it its a banger ;)

get the tracking sorted asap mate that tyre is bad.

sweet cars evos but as you've found out can be mega money pits ! :((
 
all cars are money pits the scarry part about it is that is addicting lol

Sorry to hear this Dan , but on the up side we are on the way to spring , then SUMMER :D
 
You badman! you got an evo as well as a jordan, anymore adds to your JDM car collection lol, feel bad about the wheels tho hearts goes out to you, as I just destroyed one CPF sprint hart =[

lol yeh cant complain mate, yeh its a gutter but i was planning on getting them refurbed anyways :)
 
nytmare! a thought u'd sold it to the guy from london or sumthing after last time a spoke to ya!

n yeah u can count me on bank run lol i'l be the guy wit the sledgehammer taking the wall down lol
 
didnt relise this was on here what an awesome car .. i see you in glasgow quite alot, infact saw you last night i think (thursday) on pitt street? im usualy in my mates black 54plate clio 182

cheers mate :) yeh usually kicking around in this or the jordan :) yeh i was on pitt street last night lol i will keep an eye out for u come over and say hi next time haha

Yeah willdo mate will either be in the clio or my mates megane sport. Once again mate has to be said awesome car I saw it and was close to climax haha
