I have a slight leak from a seal on the gear box where the gear linkage goes in to the box, i dont think its that bad but i want to top it up for now incase. What is the best way to go about this without emptying the fluid and refilling? I dont want to overfill it if i doesnt need it ! Thanks

Theres a level plug on the diff casing about the same level as the driveshaft to set the oil level correctly, top it up untill it starts to run out. Thats the proper way anyway .

I have always just filled it up from the filling plug at the top. You just fill it up until it overflows then stick the plug back in there. You can't really overfill it as it will overflow beforehand.
