hi guys...

juz wondering is it possible to have 86mm of stroke and 86mm of bore in a b18c r block..if im not wrong, i read somewhere that, the block height of b18c r and k20a is the same.and the max bore a b18c r can have is 87mm.

juz wondering guys..:) .thanks...

It would require you to either offset grind the crankshaft to get the shorter stroke and sleeve the engine for that huge bore. Are you just doing this to have a "square" engine?

Why are you trying to do this? Why not just build an 86x89 like everybody else and use the b18a/b crank?

juz wanted to know whether its doable..im interested with the square engine concept..n there must be a reason why honda using it.
im using b18c r, maybe i'll retain the stock 87.2 stroke and bore it to 85mm or 86mm.
i've seen b18c r with 86mm bore.and the wall between cylinders are thin..will it last?

86 bore is very weak for a b-series street car, though that's just what I heard from users here, not my personal experience

86mm is safe assuming the car will remain NA and have aftermarket sleeves like Darton MID sleeves or Benson gapless sleeves.

a more easier way would b transplanting a k20a r engine..but b series and k series have different character.

nice..but here in malaysia, as far as i know, don't have those kind of machines..

wou...ntahlerz...86x86? 2 liters engine bro... U want high rev engine or high torque?
Have u been thinking of destroke a B20B to 1.8??? high rev+ torque...

i never try B20B b4... but i like b16b, under square engine...high revvv...
i think u should save some funds for DART 2liter block.. since u like 2 liter...hehehe
