Hi all,

I was just about to buy this exhaust system for my car today at luchtime and at last minute saw in the title ek9 b16a.

Should that not be b16b? I hold off buying it because I wanted to make sure it fits, it does say ek9 on the title though.

Just wondered if anyone knows if it is the correct one or if it will fit as I still have the standard cat on my car!

Please help as I was all set to buy and cant wait to get it on!

It's fine m8, had me going when i was about to order too. Lol

They only make that exhaust for JDM fitment EK's :nice:

So then got around to putting my new exhaust on this weekend, thought I would post a few pics as it was useful for me when I was looking for an exhaust to see how it looks on the car.

I must say it was so easy to fit, is very good quality, fits perfectly and is too loud lol but thats ok!!! :nice:

i contacted Honda importers directly about this.
they said the air pressure gets imbalanced through the system and will cause problems with compression ratios etc.
ultimately you will need to go back to the old system.
sooner rother than later as you will end replacing half the engine...LOL LOL LOL :angry:

Your first post and you are calling someone numb nuts!!:angry::angry:! Id b careful doing that! And by the way for a start 5zigen is a highly respected company that make quality products!!! So id do some proper research before ranting about it! And his engine will be fine!!!! Oh and not one single person that works in honda has a notion of older cars you get some woman on the end of the phone who doesnt even know what an intake manifold gasket is so that just shows!!!!:mad:

Seeing as you seem so keen to help could you kindly explain how a cat-back exhaust can 'cause problems' with an engine's compression ratio?

Did it never occur to you that large scale manufacturers always slightly restrict base model cars straight from the factory to cut down on noise?

I challenge you to name a car from the likes of Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota etc that was released from the factory with an exhaust that makes that much noise. Same goes for induction.

All the above mentioned manufacturers will also have profit margins to consider, hence the fact the better quality materials as found in aftermarket parts (carbon fiber, stainless steel) are often not present in base model cars.

I'd be really interested to know what, if anything, you're basing these assumptions of yours on...

i think you got that info off of www.haver-pish.com ha ha ha. do you even know what compression ratios is. think you mean back pressure lol

5zigen top exhaust

oh and the reason they come with the standard exhaust cause that is the best speck exhaust to meet the leagle standards that they have to meet for putting the car on the jdm. but once you own it f#ck them straight on with the after market one very good mod that is only good for your car

Yeah it is way too loud lol but thats fine with me for the moment.

I know what you mean now Tim about the drone of the exhaust, i have just gota decat so will see how that makes it sound.

I will try and get a video on sometime soon :nice:
