4-2-1 manifold vs 4-1 manifold


The 96 spec cast iron itr manifold is a good mani for the likes of a b16 or so, The Jap 98 spec itr mani is very good for the money ,good road clearance and gains but I have experienced my self that they make a scuby noise too,I have bought a toda V1 manifold it made 3bhp extra over the 98spec the car was on a stock ecu at the time .
 
The 98 spec ITR mani does not give good ground clearance at all. I had one on my Civic and while it was a great mani for flow and power it did lie far to low and inevitably did get damaged. Got a 5zigen 421 now, also a great piece of kit!!
 
i have a tri Y on mine and its brilliant yet so anoying ... it sits so darn low it scrapes EVERYWHERE.... going to get it modified so it sits higher....
 
I'd also like to know this - iv a 4,2,1 maxim works header for my stock b16a sir2 yet to be fitted,
Is it a good bit of kit? Or should I be looking for something
else, it will be mated to a mugen cat back twin loop.
