2000 Integra Type R-X ??

I lost the car because I didn't had 261 $ and when I had them the car was already sold, LOL.

I think I might get a EJ6 or something, since I have a lot of EK9 stuff...

Unlucky :( maybe next time.

My friend is getting one that I found for him out here!! They are nice (nothing looks better then a 2000 Ek Rx tho lol) but it has somethings done to it and if ever sells it it goes straight to me :). I could post pics if you would like.

RX just means more standard options like more electrical stuff etc... Also means the car is more heavy.

Its more for the comfy street tuned type R. Nothing special

The 2000 rx isnt any quicker mate. Everything is the same as far as the suspension/engine and looks. Some say that it has the CTR cam but no one seem's to be certain on this. The differences are in the interior....

EK9 steering wheel
RX pedal's
Folding mirror's
Pioneer stereo with 6 speakers or something

If anything it will be slightly slower because they are heavier because of the extra's but saying all that...it certainly is the most desireable of the tegs :)

They dont have CTR cams, and i'm absolutely 100% certain on that, ONLY the 00/01 US ITRs got the CTR intake cam and it was to make up power because of increased emission controls imposed on their cars. No other ITR anywhere esle in the world got them.

The ITR-x is the heaviest of all the ITRs ever built as they basically threw in every available extra they had in their parts bins, so theoretically they will also be the slowest as they have the lowest power/weight ratio but it's minimal and i doubt anyone would notice.

They probably are the most desireable as they are also the newest/last built but i'd prefer a 96spec over all of them as theyre nicer to drive day to day and also the lightest.

I'm pretty sure the JDM b18C 98 spec had ctr intake cam? Also has a different port job over the 96spec.

To be honest there isn't that much difference in the 98 Spec and 00 Spec or Rx (Basically a 00 Spec with full options and more.

I have a 00 Spec Rx and I asked Spoon what the differences are mechanically. Basically, its all in the ECU programming. Let me explain. From 1999 July, 00 Spec were produced. The chassis code changed from E-DC2 to GF-DC2. Even though a year before the EK9 received the GF designation. In Japan, these codes represent emission regulations. In fact, from 2001, depending on the grade and engine, it bacame more strict. When we do SHA-KEN, which is like MOT or Vehicle Inspection, the NOx and CO levels will be tested. The test centres have data according to the vehicle emission designation and will enter it into the machine accordingly.

So the real reason why 00 Spec was created was because the DC2 had been having the E-DC2 code for too long, (1 year after all other Hondas became GF) In order to comply to the Japanese emission law, Honda had to change the ECU setting to make it GF. This then became the 00 Spec. Rx spec isn't the same and isn't related. It was a merely a final marketing move to give customers a special spec which is very popular for Japanese customers.

On another note, some tuners claim that the 00 Spec actually makes about 2 to 3 more horsepower than the 98 Spec. and the bushings are a little stiffer.

You have to look at your chassis number. 00 Spec starts from 1300001. Also, real 00 Spec has serial numbers on the center console emblem below the handbrake.

thanks for the info britishracer, glad to see you posting again! :D
