2000 Championship White JDM EK9 Civic Type Rx

After a fun and a fantastic ownership I am now putting my pride and joy up for sale. My loss is someone else’s gain. This most certainly is a outstanding example and most people can vouch that....

The car was imported in 2008 by Duncan Crawford (FastJapCars) who is a respected Honda EK9 enthusiast, who has imported a fair bit of stunning examples. As soon as it was imported the car was sold to a Lady Owner enthusiast (Joanne,'monkeymagic' on the EK9 forum) who you can contact if necessary in relation to any questions. As soon as it was imported the cambelt had been changed and the car was sold to Joanne with 61k miles. I contacted her on the EK9 forum a few times as I really liked it, and the fact that it wasn't driven too hard. At this time I was on the look for a EK9, JDM TEG, and a EP3. I spent almost 4/5 months looking for a prime example including countless test-drives in TEGS, EK9's, EP3's, but know word of a lie, just loved the feel of this EK9, the condition inside and out was immense and pulled very well and thought I would leave a deposit, I left a deposit towards the end of 2008, and paid the remainder in JAN. I am therefore the 2nd UK owner.

'V' Reg 2000 Championship White JDM EK9 Civic Type Rx (Grade 4/B)
- 76,700 miles
- Road Tax till Jan 2010
- M.O.T till Oct 2010 (car whizzed through it last time round)
(Have all previous M.O.T’s and Road Tax Discs)

The current mileage is 76,700 miles as stated above (which is nothing for a well look aftered VTEC engine) and the mileage was 71,600 when I brought the car, I only tend to drive my EK9 on the odd occasion to work or on weekends as I also have a daily runner which is a PUG. I literally have stupid amounts of paperwork and receipts from bits I have brought for my EK9 whether it being performance parts or service bits. I have a fully detailed Japanese service history book which is pretty rare to come by as it is a import including Auction grading sheet, Number-Plate Certificate, Certificate for changing the cluster from KPH to MPH, SVA sheet and many other sheets. The car comes with 3 Honda keys and with 2 immobiliser fobs . I also have all the original Honda EK9 Folder/books/manuals/guides (hard to get a EK9 that comes with this). The car has been well-maintained regardless of cost.

Following modifications are from factory:
- Carbon Fibre Centre Dash Console
- Power Steering
- Air-Conditioning
- JDM Flare (a nice wee bit of JDMness)
- Factory Rear Tinted Windows
- Front Strut Bar
- Twin SRS with MOMO SRS Steering Wheel
- Alloy pedals
- Immobiliser
- Keyless lock
- Remote Locking
- Electric Folding Side Mirrors (mine are tinted yellow, which is pretty rare and looks very nice)
- JDM Wind Deflectors

Service/Maintenance wise I have done most of the servicing and modding myself. A week or 2 after I brought my EK9 I gave it a oil change/oil filter change/flushed Gearbox oil and changed it to Honda MTF 3/flushed EK9 coolant and topped it up with Honda Type 2 coolant/topped up all reservoirs as well. A month or so ago I gave it another an oil change/oil filter change/topped up all reservoirs (as i like to keep on top of this). I have also replaced the front and rear Red ‘H’ Emblems as they tend to get pink but are shiny red now. The car is washed once or twice a month inside and out (including basic shampoo, polish, wax). I’m an attention to detail freak!!!! Car is always warmed up and not driven over 3k RPM until the temperature has gone to half.

Modifications:
- Meister R Zeta S Adjustable Coilovers (with Pillow Top Mount- can adjust height and dampening to your required taste) Spring rates are 10kg/mm Front and 8kg/mm Rear.
- Mugen Reservoir Socks
- Mugen Intake (gives such a nice note whilst in VTEC, and is renowned to be the best bit of kit for a B series engine)
- Energy Engine Mounts
- J’s Racing De-cat (car will come with the OEM Cat to save a headache for M.O.T)
- Fujitsubo RM01A (the VTEC crossover sounds awesome) will come with the Silencer.
- Rear Spoon Strut Bar
- JVC Double-Din Headunit CD/Mini-Disc
- Uprated Alpine Front and Rear Speakers
- Gathers 5 CD Changer
- Powered by Honda Seatbelt Pads
- Toyo T1R’s All Round
- Satin Black Front and Rear Calipers
- Japanese Toll Card Reader (Lady speaks to you in Japanese when you turn the car on, JDM YO)
- Rear ‘Mugen’ Sticker

The car will also come with a Red Recaro seat cover, Brand New EK9 Cambelt my mate had lying in his garage and loads of Banzai Mags (EK9 related!!!!)

Bad points:
Like every car there are a few minor points, my right side EK9 Civic Type R has a tiny bit of peel off it, the ARB Drop Links need to be changed but are very cheap to get hold of. A few tiny stone chips on the front lip but nothing to moan about.

I'm looking to sell my car as a whole package/the way it is, because it is a perfect street set-up...and the new owner wont have to go through the hassle of getting coilovers etc :secret:

Take it easy mate, i think you got the wrong idea by what the young lad meant; which was simply that Kaks asking price didnt meet his budget.
Not that he thought the car was over priced.
