1st gear sometimes difficult to gear in, need inputs

I've experienced this sometimes when trying to shift gear back to first gear, like when i'm in traffic, time to down shift to first gear sometimes it's hard, has anyone experience this? my tranny is a S4C,

Is this normal to our tranny? any inputs? tia
 
im the same. spoke to a specialist he had a drive and said it was fine.....
put it into 5th before you try 1st and it will slot in!!
 
That's normal. Try not to be selecting first while moving if possible
 
Yeah, i've also learned that its just how the tranny behaves. You should only be able to shift to 1st when the car is about to completely stop. Otherwise if the car is still rolling, just keep it in 2nd.
 
Down shifting into 1st gear is never a good idea.

But yes, they make it hard to do for a reason, to prevent it from happening. Poor syncros.
 
Should try to not shift into 1st when moving but it is still possible. If you change your gearbox oil it should be alot easier to shift into 1st while moving forward at very low speeds so try that
 
yeah as said only really meant to change to 1st while stopped or below 5mph :nice:
