some of these were optionals im assuming..like electric windows...did air bags come as standard...jsut wondering how id know if mine had 1 2 or none.

Yep it came as a standard, unless the owner specified he didn't want them, the 97 model , I think it had only the driver side air bag :nice:
 
my mate has a 98 facelift ek9, has no electric windows, no srs, what kinda models came like this??

Does it has recaro seats and black red door panels?

Some ek9s came with manual windows and no srs, they where cheaper :P
 
hi rvm!! yeah it has the redcaros and black and red door cards!! just a cheeper model then yeah?
 
do you know the first month of production in 1996 of the "97 EK9s" by any chance?
 
the 1st ek9 was produced in aug 1997 aka spec 98. the facelifted 1 was produced in aug 1998 aka spec 99.
 
I even didn't know that there was a Type R-x.

However it leaves me a bit confused, because I have a Japanese Radio CD player, electric windows etc of the Type Rx but no keyless entry..

I just want to confirm that:


EK9 Honda Civic Type Rx == jdm EK9 spec 99-2000
1997 JDM EK9 Honda Civic Type R == jdm EK9 spec 96-98
am I right?

Both of them got ABS system?

The other question is that are really same about the engine, gearbox?
I hear that before , there got some different between engine and gearbox, but i forgot already.
I know that these has different between ecu socket(96-98: obd2a, 99-00: obd2b)
