I think they are around £500 new, the boxs also fetch around £400-500 for a good condition box with no crunching(like this) So guage your offer from those estimates. This diff is quiet unlike some diffs ive driven, but by god does it work! Its day and night with a standard honda box, wasnt expecting it to be quite this good!
this box does have a small leak, i may strip and re-seal this for alex if hes lucky haha
I would maybe look at setting the map to limit boost in first and second gear, keeping the box perhaps fitting a 4.05 final drive from MFactory if you find the ratios are too short. I reckon you'd be disappointed with the results if you simply dump the Quaife just to gain slightly longer ratios, at best you'll be getting about 12% less torque in 2nd gear with the S9B but with a far weaker diff. The Quaife will probably give you enough traction to make up for the ratios on the straights and will still fly through the corners...
Obviously it's up to you guys, but personally there's no way I would sacrifice that diff, it made the car.
Well i think wen dale had his c4 turboed hes was at 330bhp so hoping around the same mark ... Iv have just been and picked up the areodeck .. And will be removing teh c4 in the morning ... Its gonna be a little power house eventually .. And i wont b getting rid anytime Soon .. I had a bargain
