Its a rip-off, I had an EJ9 for three years from 17 Y.O. When I insured it at 17 it was £1400 but prices nowadays who knows probably about £3/4k is what you're looking at as a young first time driver
I stay on the outskirts of glasgow in a village well you could call it when before this massive estate got built lol but its more less out the way 10 mins from glasgow city centre, and yeah thats what im thinking of doing putting my mum and possibly my dad but he doesnt stay in this country no more so i doubt he will going on it. It depends a lot on where you stay (postcode).
There a few little things you can do to reduce the premium,
Add a female second driver (your mum).
If you pay annually its a lot cheaper.
If you have use of a company car/works van, tell them as this should reduce it further.
