Hi Guys

On the quest to find some 15" wheels that will clear my 310mm Wilwood brake kit i have done some research and found a couple wheels that might do the job but no hard facts as such that they will definitely fit!

The two wheels in question are the Team Dynamic pro race/ 1.2 and compomotive mo's.

Offset is not really a problem as this can be got round with some spacers but its the internal bore of the wheel that is the problem.

Anyone fitted 15" wheels over 310mm brakes ?

i know there are a few on here that have those wheels fitted on 300mm wilwoods, so maybe they could say whether it would work. but by looking at some pictures its awfully close at 300 so i would suspect 310 to be too big?

Pro race 1.2 don't even clear the 300. Pro race 1 should just about do it.

as far as i'm aware there aren't any 15" wheels that will clear 310mm brakes, 300mm is pretty much the limit. I think you'll need at least 16" to clear them

Thanks for the replies guys.

I will look into the pro race 1's a bit more and contact a dealer to find out the measurements.

Only reason for wanting 15's is for cheaper R888's :) and to lower the car a little bit more for track but if its going to be a pain il just have to stick with the 16's and have the arches sorted out to allow this.

I have some ENKEI Race 16" that offer good clearance. I purchased some Yoko A048 16" tyres and they were only £25 more than the 15".

We run compomotive mo's in an 8x15 and they fit over our 310mm wilwood brakes with no clearence problems

Now this is what i like to hear :nice:

Out of interest what offset are your wheels ? Wouldn't mind running a set of 15x8's myself.

WOW i really expected you to be pi##ing into the wind with this but i am glad and pretty damn shocked that there is such a 15 inch wheel to accomodate 310mm!!!! Does the Compomotive use some kind of Voodoo or black magic to make this possible :). Would like to see pics of your set up Wooks as my 290s looked bloody close in 15's.

i hear OZ superlegga's have good clearance but unsure if they will squeeze under 310mm?

The offset is et 0, we run them on a 205 tarmac rally car,and plenty of mk2 escorts are now running that size disc under a 15,its tight but easy if you understand my termanology (made up word??).
Ill try and get some pics if i remember.

It comprises of AP Racing CP3307 calipers, 310mm x 28mm rotors all under 15" TD Pro Race 1.2 wheels

just a matter of offset to get them to fit! :wow:

mines arent the wilwood but are 300mm think its accord type r twin pots but anyway im sure i seen in dunsys build thread he had to grind the calipers down a tad to get them to fit under the team dynamics

Thanks for getting back wooks. pictures would be very dandy indeed.

I can see from the 2 pictures of the TD pro race 1.2s it is just a case of offset as you can see the first has a very low offset so the calliper is sat back further where there is more room yet the second has not and is sitting on that inner part of the wheel near the spokes and creating less room.

Is this a Civic ? if so what offset are theses ?

Thread revival but this is super relevant to me.
I have pro race 1.2s in 15s and I've also got a 310 wilwood kit being made up. I'm hoping I don't need to buy another set of 16s to clear these.

After measuring my 1.2s I've got less than 1mm clearance on the barrell of the rim to the caliper.

Taken it those wheels won't come with the tyres on?

The pro-race 1's have a good bit more brake clearance than the 1.2's, they are also a bit lighter and at et35 should be ideal offset

They come with the used slicks for £385 or £300 without. Bargain for a rare enough set of wheels
