11,000 Mile EK9 For Sale!

yep they have the rotary twin turbo lumps in them. But you got to be carefull with what your buying, as after about 60k the rotor tips wear out, and alot of the time you have to have a full engine rebuild. Most of the cars over 60k for sale have normally had full engine rebuilds, and for the rx-7 engine build, its alot of money to do. A lovely car when there running rite tho and alot of tuning potential

Ahhh ive heard that it was between 60-70k good engines but they burn alot of oil, couldnt be arsed with that!

:D
lol yeah agreed!

What do you think of the RX 7 turbos? Have you driven one>? Also do they have the wankel rotary engine aswell as being turbo charged???
RX7's are amazing cars, totally different to any other car in their power delivery as they are so responsive, they also have a 50/50 weight split which is very rare on a car and quite an achievement. They are light and as for tuning, the sky is the limit. They have a reputation which is falsely given as somebody has already said that they need a rebuild after 60k miles, plain and simply not true. If a car hasnt been taken care of it will need a rebuild sooner, whereas if the oil is changed regularly, good cooling aids added, seals are in good nick and the car has good compression alread, they can last over 100k miles. Also bear in mind that a rebuild on a wankel is way way cheaper than on a piston engine, they dont have as many moving parts.

Check on youtube for some RX7's in Japan, on touge battles, best motoring etc. and you will see what RX7's are about...A pure enthusiasts car, like the EK9 is too, but in a different way.

Both the FC3S and FD3S have the wankel engine and are turbo charged, i have seen and have available crazy ones of each:drive:

I've played several versions of Gran Turismo and RX7 was by far the best car of the game as far as I remember!. Time attack mode records all made by that car! :D

Yeah, excellent Time Attack car.
Speaking of track RX7's, I know of a D1 FC3S for sale around £9k OTR, I also have available another track FD3S and quite a biggy this one, the RE-Amemiya Time Attack FD3S (yes, its a famous car, but given the money, I can get it -put it in youtube/google if you dont know the car)

My brother in law has an FD-RX7, 450hp at the wheels :wow:

But round the track my EK9 beats him hands down - maybe because he doesn't want to break it? Nice car though, I would own it in a heartbeat.

Wouldn't trade my EK9 for anything, I love it.
