Lets see if we have the same problem.
Mine was that the mounts for the "standing" part of the seat dint look at all as they did on my LHD EK4. Still with me?
If so i figured that the mounts would fit if i used the hardware from my EK4 seats (the metall frame basicly) so i toke both seats apart and used only the metal from my EK4 seat.
