Finally got my VSM EK9 back !


Did Dan and Micky take their honda's as well? If so any pictures of them all?

I got quite alot mate, just not wanting to sit at a computer screen editing them just now haha, trying to make use of the sunny weather while it lasts at the moment.
 
Car is looking great mate, nice job on th valve cover! Looks great with it all new and fresh eh!! ;)

Yeah thats true. I seen some of you pictures, Think Dave shared a link on facebook if I remember correctly, they are very good! I remember the one of the rocker cover/engine in black in white mostly :nice:

Cheers :) the automotive pics were for my final unit for college, something I want to specialise in and hopefully make a career out of it. Will probably email some magazines see if there's a chance of being a contributor. Very pleased with my unit, tutors were too, got an A grade :D
 
Nice work mate. What did u use to do the valve clearences? I cant seem to get the shims anywhere :(

I was at college doing my second year in mechanics until the accident in Jan, now I think about it, It must of been your car I had a noisey at a couple times in car park haha... I was expecting it to be ej9 until I saw orange on the dials and knew straight away it was ek4.. (Dont worry just looked, never touched! lol)

There was another lad with one exact same as mine, was probably his as I didn't start driving mine til March.

Bought a set of feeler gauges off eBay. Just a pain getting the right combination of them. Ideally you'll need to bend a 10mm spanner 90 degrees to make the job easier too.

Not updated this in ages, went up to the honda meet at phoenix honda. Was decent apart from the rain, free cheeseburger which was awesome !









car was never running right since I fitted another injector, poor idle and afr wasn't right. turns out the 240cc set I bought were actually 190cc by the looks of it. fitted another set from a b18c4 and car runs spot on.
Had a horrible knocking from rear suspension, fitted a new set of drop links that didn't cure it.
After loads of removing parts, turns out the new drop links were just gash. Another new set fitted and back to no knocking !

Hoping to get the paint work sorted out soon and decide if I'm keeping the car or not.
 
Cars looking great as always! Tht injector problem was weird eh, glad u got it sorted!

I am kind of in a transition period too mate. Thinkin of sellin or even breaking mine. If i do it wont be until afta ma track day next feb. i will defo be gettin a red or black dc5! ;)
