yeah i believe man... i dont believe that much of a gain in power in torque....so i believe its not worth paying the difference of unleaded vs high octane fuel...here in the philippines super unleaded is price at P55/liter high octane fuel P62.30/liter .....
1.00 PHP= 0.0159060 EUR
Philippine Peso Euro
1 PHP = 0.0159060 EUR 1 EUR = 62.8695 PHP
thats how high fuel prices in our country
You guys are lucky for having high octane fuel! Here in Canada the highest octane we have is 94 which is expensive!! I use 91 in my ek9 and our regular gas is 87 which is at $1.18L
Different octane ratings over there though, 91 in US/Canada is like our 98.

you do realise that petrol in ireland is â¬1.52 per litre average?
1.52 EUR = 96.2891 PHP
so when your normal 95 unleaded is 96 peso maybe then you can bitch and moan about how dear your petrol is
our super unleaded that only very few stations in ireland actually do is 1.76 last time i checked so that would be 111 peso in your money
i hate it when people come on here and bitch and moan about there petrol prices being high, especially when yanks do as there petrol is cheaper than our water
As Kozy said, number doesn't means anything...your 87 octane petrol could be as good as our 95 or 98 fuel.
We have 95 and 98 octane fuel and 100 race fuel (shell VPower, OMW Carrera)
The 95 fuel price is around 1,45-1,5 euro / liter ($2,15 - 1,3 pounds)
The 100 octane petrol is 1,6 euro / liter (2,35$ - 1,4 pounds)
We buy the petroleum from Russia and I'm sure that our 95 octane is weaker/poorer than your 87 octans fuel.
"In most countries, including Australia and all of those in Europe, the "headline" octane rating shown on the pump is the RON, but in Canada, the United States and some other countries, like Brazil, the headline number is the average of the RON and the MON, called the Anti-Knock Index (AKI, and often written on pumps as (R+M)/2). It may also sometimes be called the Pump Octane Number (PON)."As Kozy said, number doesn't means anything...your 87 octane petrol could be as good as our 95 or 98 fuel.
