Really should've updated this last week!
Timeline of events was as follows:
Saturday 7th: break stud and go into bitch fit and contemplate burning the car to the ground.
Sunday 8th: order new studs and wheel bearing
Monday 9th: get the peasant wagon (bus) to uni in the morning and get the piss ripped out of me by all my mates
Wednesday 11th: bearing and studs arrive, drove these off along with my spare hub to
@Steve M for him to press them in as well as fit a new ball joint so the whole hubs fresh
Friday 13th: got a text off Steve at 5pm that the hubs ready, pick it up, go out for dinner with the parents, get home about 8ish and crack on with fitting the hub in the dark
CAR FIXED.
I ended up spamming people on snapchat, so here's some of the screenshots I got haha
And my car at work the morning after I got the fresh hub on, this was my real deadline because it takes ages to get public transport there.
And my mate got this snapchat the other day at uni haha
Just been driving it for the past week and all's been fine. Still got that knocking and shuddering. I think I've managed to warp the discs so I'm going to replace them and go from there. The knock sounds like a droplink but they're new, so that's confusing me a bit. I'll disconnect the droplinks to see if I can narrow down the source of the noise. It's just trying to find time which is the issue.
Finally, a MASSIVE thanks to
@Steve M for helping me get the car back on the road by sorting out the spare hub for me and for convincing me not to burn the car to a crisp on that Saturday. Also a huge thanks to my mates Greg and Joe who ferried me around that week, it takes me 2 hours each way to get a bus to uni, but thanks to them I only had to do that once!
