My EK9 turbo with TDI.


I think it starts around 10ish, and my sat nav says its 44 mins away so probebly leave around 9 or earlier?
 
defo need to come and see this build as your only about 30-40 mins from me can give me some inspiration for my build also give me an idea what its like fella ;)
 
Is the b16b engine not a great engine to be turbocharged? Or is that ehat people just say heard that the 16a is a better engine

This is basically the exact power in looking for out of my next 9. How much boost are you running to hit this?
 
I can't see how it's that bad an engine to charge when you think the comp ratio is 10.8-1. B18c is 11.1-1. F20c runs like 11.5-1 or something like that and they hold boost ok.
B16a is what 10.3-1? Such a small difference really.
 
I think its more of a cost thing maybe. Can sell the b16b and buy a 16a/18c4 which gives you more money for the build.
 
Yeah but I would be less inclined to buy a c4/16a car than I was one with its original engine. Also if you know the engine then be silly to risk buying a crap motor for the sake of cost.
