My EK9 turbo with TDI.


looks wicked! what all have you done engine wise so far? seriously considering doing a turbo conversion over the next year!
 
Engine has stock internals. I've changed nothing. Not advised I know but some people have had no problems and I'm hoping to be another one.

Looking into building up a b16a with forged internals so I can run higher boost than 5/6psi.
 
When I bought it i think the make was 'Godspeed' or something from an American seller on eBay called R1Spec. It's decent quality.

Unfortunately didn't get it on Saturday as TDi was majorly packed so couldnt get on the dyno.

Should hopefully be getting tuned tomorrow!

I think a meet needs sorting out, had my car tuned up by tdi north great bunch of lads and know there stuff :))
 
Having some problems at the moment.

First of all my Hondata s300 does not have boost controll built in which I thought it did. So I need to get a boost controller so that it's not running at 2psi :(

Also had some problems with the AEM fuel rail and pressure reg.

I've got the car back now running at the very low boost and it's a bit spluttery but one I've got the boost controller on and got it mapped again all should be great.

Other than these problems it's great. Quieter than it was on idle and low rpm and a nice sound when in boost. I'm not currently going into boost too much, only taking the car up to 4k rpm max as I want to wait till its mapped with the boost controller before I give it some beans.

Will get some pics up of the car tomorrow and will get a vid once it's been remapped which will hopefully be this week!

All sorted. Love it, drives and sounds great.

Running at 268bhp & 175ftlb.

Will get some pics up ASAP, too busy driving it ATM. Need to give it a clean!

i've just got myself a new camera so will have to get you some good pictures sometime!

Them gauges look ace. How did you set up you oil temp sensor? im going to get one for mine soon and have been told to drill & tap the sump plug.
 
nice build pal saw this in tdi other week would like to see this go lol and should defo have a north west meet 1day

Cheers mate. Just running the oil temp and pressure off a sandwich plate.

Cheers :) yer we should sort a meet out. You should come the dyno day in north Wales on Saturday.
