Finally got my VSM EK9 back !


Yeah gonna keep it silver. Been putting the re spray off for long enough now just gotta find a decent place that doesn't charge the earth
 
Yeah not a scratch on my mate just got his feet wet getting out the car
 
Lovely shame about that wanker with paint stripper :mad: at least its sorted now tho! may aswell go silver as you can have door shut spray and save yourself some £££

IMO should of kept the ek9 wheels white, but still looks good! that LSI is quite amusing, he must have been gutted tho :(
 
Yeah the paint work looks ok from distance in poor light and if you squint lol. Only decided on the black for the wheels as I get a lot of dust off my pads and I hardly notice it anymore
 
got my tegiwa three point strut brace fitted and decided to spray the cam cover to match.
was never a fan of the red against the silver. also removed the power steering. used to it now and prefer it alot.

When i had my 9 it took me nearly a year to find a good condition used one, wish i had thought of this!:lol:
 
Don't think I've ever seen one that's not badly corroded. Was gonna get my mate to weld some stainless bar in there, but decided to use up an old brace I had
 
treated myself to some teg wheels this weekend. been after a set for ages and some came up for sale locally for a good price. 2 wheels came with potenza re010 that are pretty new. feel a massive difference over my toyo proxies. only bad thing is the new tyres are 195/55/15 so they look massive (old set was 195/50/15's). although now my speedo seems to be reading pretty much spot on.

got the car back from getting the paint sorted and i'm well chuffed with the results. need some decals next though. also pulled my finger out and fitted all the shiny bits i've had sitting at home.

I used to get really pissed off with people saying stuff like ' why have you put type r stickers on a vti ?' even had one bloke tell me they never made type r's that long ago.

bought a bmw 330 after the 9 but i sold that and bought a black prefacelift ep3. standard when i bought it, ive only lowered it and put a light weight flywheel and new clutch in it. goes well but it dosent handle anything like the ek9 did.
