Just a heads up.... I know a few people who have ruined an engine, oil pump, bearings etc after sand blasting a Honda rocker cover
Is shot blasting the same as sand blasting?
A mate of mine did this and after I warned him he used a degreasing bath and an air line to clean the cover out. Curiosity got the better of him and he removed the baffles to find loads of sand stuck under them even after thoroughly cleaning the cover
He was glad I warned him!!
Yeh I'd be in tears of I ruin my engine over something silly, we have a bore scope at work, I will use it to see behind the baffle to see if there's any grit hiding. No problem, would hate to see an engine build ruined
Not sure to be honest they are riveted on
Sounds like a plan! I'll do that just to be sure. Thanks for the advice mate!Yeah 100% take the baffles off mate. Its the same on my evo rocker, drilled out for some breather lines and all the swarf gathers under the baffle. Chisel the heads off the rivets, take baffles off, drill the holes, honda bond the lip, refit baffles with new rivets. Looks neat as factory when done
Engine building stuff, I'll get it all out later...So what's in the box? A boosting device?
