EK9 -> K20 swap

Keep up the good work man! I have started my Kswap about 3 months before you have and you are already further ahead than I. Great progress thread! What size of belt are you gonna be running to accomodate the DC5 power steering pump and Jackson racing pulley? I think my build is pretty much the same as yours.

Thanks! That's the question I'll be able to answer in 3days lol I'm waiting on 4 belts and the pulley as soon as I get em I'll let you know. It's hard finding the answer to this since everyone's build is different and most remove a/c but keep p/s I'm keeping both.

If you are keeping p/s but no a/c the belt you'll need for the Z1/A crank is a 52"(5060520) belt if its an A2 you'll need 52.2"(5060523 this is just .1 longer will work) from what I've read online. Those are Dayco part numbers and they're 6rib belts I can't seem to find them in 7rib which would be Dayco 5070520 and 5070522 guess they don't make them in those lengths for 7rib.

Here's a quick comparison between the Jackson Racing and the OEM pulley, what you're seeing is approximately a 1/2" difference between the 2 I couldn't find my ruler.

Ok so I think I've got it figured out, as most of you know I'm going to be running both p/s and a/c.

Inorder to have the p/s pulley clear the hood(grey area) after removing THIS(white section) under the hood:

OEM pulley touches a bit here's the OEM pulley:

img0966v.jpg

Jackson Racing pulley I've read is a bit smaller and clears here's a pic of that pulley:

Approximately .5" difference between between the 2 p/s pulleys, Jackson Racing pulley and OEM pulley:

Belt you'll need for p/s and a/c on a Z1/A crank pulley:

So! The OEM belt is 67"(5070670), the belt you'll need to run the Jackson Racing pulley, maintaining p/s as well as a/c on a Z1/A crank pulley is a Dayco 5070656. That kinda makes sense to me too because the OEM p/s pulley like I mentioned above is approximately .5" bigger so we go shorter with the belt by .5" so the pulley size difference is cancelled and we're allowed 1" play so we can get the belt on the tensioner.

I hope that wasn't too confusing! I kinda confused MYSELF:confused:

Ok so I see threads which means its screwed in! Dremel time I have an idea.....

Drilling doesn't help.....

So let's try making a slot so I can use a flat head screw driver.....

More Dremel!
