This is where t.schultz might be able to help me, the darn ABS modulator is close and hitting the header. I have the motor set back in the 2nd holes on the mount brackets, what advice can you give me to get around this?

img0916l.jpg

I'm thinking about ditching the ABS, i'm wondering if the US spec 99 Civic Si proportioning valve will work, the position looks about the same on the firewall and the lines to the front brakes should work its just the line to the master cylinder should be different since its LHD.

Thanks for watching!

Nice progress :nice:

Unfortunately most of the Kswap headers do not fit with the abs pump, its a case of ditching it, moving it or buying a new header. What header are you using?

Thanks!

The header is KTuned 4-1

super clean love your build.. I recommend to paint that block & tranny before you drop that in...well worth it

Great build and nice dog :). Why are you getting the rear mount bracket welded? Is this a common thing on k swaps?

Hybrid gives you a piece that the 3rd/one of the bolts on the rear mount bracket has to bolt up to. So you use 2 of the original bolts holes on the subframe where the oem rear mount once used and a 3rd for the Hybrid mount bracket. I hope I didn't confuse you!

Thanks! I plan to paint it when I remove it again, I just needed to see how everything fits first.

I have a wait for some parts, Skunk2 header, RBC IM, ecu(AEM or Kpro), etc. so I decided to install the Hybrid conversion harness in the meantime.

Here we go!

Well packaged like always with Hybrid!

Through this grommet! Without removing the grommet, dash and moving a whole heap a stuff......pretty much like a surgeon doing a heart transplant:D

Gotta take note of the pin layout before removing the plug:

Plug off:

img0924e.jpg

Loose wires!

img0925kd.jpg

Small incision while the patient is drugged the F-up!

img0927ll.jpg

We're in! Now to insert the wires from inside back into the plug with a BlackBerry Torch for light and about 1-2" of play on that harness!

img0928yi.jpg

Ok that was painful more for me than the patient!

Factory looking?

Lets modify the bracket the plug once clipped onto! Tuner Gods gift thy Dremel!

1 figure for you megabox 150%

It's hard importing here in Grenada, its like you have to buy another whole vehicle and some.

On top of that Government stress on fixing the roads.

well it must be a caribbean thing... Build is looking great, keep up the work.

Ok I was bored.

Lets see what we can do with the Hybrid p/s kit!

I've been trying to figure out how to mount the reservoir on the drivers side, space is tight but some how or the other I want it there, I've noticed many mounting it on the opposite side with the hose passing in front of the motor a big NO for me->looks messy.

Here is what I came up with, I'm open for ideas!

This hose bracket like thing is not being used in this case so lets ditch it!

img0942ot.jpg

Gone!

img0945du.jpg

Notice the excess on this clamp? Some say I'm a little too paranoid but I hate seeing hose clamps with excess hanging out!

Thanks guys!

Had to trim the hood, p/s pump was touching only the pulley touches now I'm gonna go with the Jackson Racing pulley to rectify this. Only question now is where to find the pulley!

Gotta take a quick break because of this!

I'll be back to working on the EK with updates soon!

Keep up the good work man! I have started my Kswap about 3 months before you have and you are already further ahead than I. Great progress thread! What size of belt are you gonna be running to accomodate the DC5 power steering pump and Jackson racing pulley? I think my build is pretty much the same as yours.
