I am liking this..I also have the front and rear upper spoon strut braces..Love them..How do you find the spoon engine mounts....I ALSO LOVE SPOON:clap:

my old C Pillar brace that i sold to ash, was on my ek9 when imported :) car looks good mate!

Your spoon back box needs to be longer soot is getting on yr bumper, Nice set up. What price is a roll cage these days.

My cage was second hand at £400 however i think VTEC direct do them arround the 8-900 mark.

My Spoon has always sat like that on both my EK4 and EK9. I quite like it as its tucked out the way just have to clean the bumper regularly. I must admit i have done 500 odd miles since it was last cleaned...

My front one is coming in July.... :D

Engine mount will be fitted mid june when the B18C-R is fitted. :secret:

Hurray another SPOON LOVER. :nice:

Ah do you not what make it is? Lovely bit of kit really nice welds on it and so light. We both think it may be custom.... :secret:

I would reccomend silicon filling the lower torque mounts, i did this with my Spoon mounts as tbh they are just as flexy as oem, feels even better with these done ;)

Good work, had the suspension realigned yet?

How do you do that? Just drill a whole?

I'm waiting on my springs to arrive then i'm having it all set up again... I can't wait...

nah basically the gaps between the rubber of the mount, just pump it full of like bathroom silicon sealant! Leave it overnight to set and it will basically stiffen the mounts up even more :)

Wow.. nice progress!
SOOOO much money spent! lol... regardless, car is looking excellent.

or you could do it properly with polyurethane such as tiger seal or even better install ES mount inserts into your spoon mounts like i have. :nice:

I Agree with Olly

The ES inserts are a very neat & effective solution & will compliment the spoon mounts perfectly:nice:

Spoon whore! I will try to get over to ask Tom on Saturday about my settings :nice:

Yes i'm thinking about a tie bar or H brace but i'm a little concerned about ground clearances....

I remember doing the engine bay on his ek4! What a nightmare it was treating all the rust and painting over it. Hopefuly the ek9 will be in better condition in that department.
