A very chunky but very light C Pillar brace

DSCF0054.jpg

I have this exact C-pillar bar. It is made by e'lsport, i ordered it brand new from Japan few years ago. I like it very much too!!!

Your building is moving fast compare to mine......Your car is coming together really nice!

I wonder if you can share your driving experience / feel / thought) about the different between EK4 and EK9 with cage and without cage (maybe open another thread about it).

Hi mate thanks for letting me know the make of the C pillar brace. :nice:

As for the cage before i start it weighs 32kg.

Before fitting certainly in my EK4 it rolled a lot during corners due to 16kg's in the roof liner (Sunroof) When fitted it had certainly stiffened the chassis felt that straight away and the lower center of gravity improved handling further.

In the EK9 it definitly felt livelyer (If thats even a word) before the cage went in. Its definitly more stable in the corners and it feels tight but i have noticed the extra weight a little bit. So i'm changing my rear spring rates and suspension set up to be a bit more aggressive. :D

glad parts have gone into good hands ;):nice:
looks good mate wish i kept my civic in one piece now :((

Thanks! The livelyer probably due to more engine power, lighter car, little more stiff suspension.

Not keen on the blue brackets ahoy but nice find with the sump!!!!

Coming along well, lots of high end bits :)

Was very busy yesterday.

Cleaned everywhere in my engine bay, took off all the brackets, removed the battery and tray to clean all behind things that i could get at with the engine still in.

Also RESTORED manifold!

Sand back with a 240 grade, then 400, 1000, then 2000, polish with metal polish and clean with brake clearner. Job done looks sweet again.
