aRc's 1998 CW Facelift EK9

Very Nice EK9, looks well looked after. Hopefully those tyres are as good as they are made out to be. ive got toyo proxies on mine and are **** in anywher near damp/wet conditions... compared to conventional tyres.

never seen this before!

builds going really well!

i have sw388's with ad08's on mine 195 / 55 / 15 runs just perfect!

what are the future plans ?

Yes had a set on the 16'' wheels I use to have. The rs2's grip well in the dry with a bit of heat in them. Nice to see you have cleaned your car now :nice:

yeah, i braved the cold and finally gave it a good wash! :) glad to hear you thought the tyres were okay, my first impressions are that they're really good and, as you said, much better than the Pirelli's! :nice:

thanks for the comments :) yeah, i do my best to look after it but white's not the best colour for the winter weather so it sometimes looks a little filthy dirty! yeah, i'm impressed with the tyres so far :nice:

thanks man, i really like your car too as have looked at your build thread a few times :nice:

it's good to hear your feedback on the SW388/ AD08 combo as definitely thinking of that for the summer months :)

no immediate, major plans as yet. it's booked in for new discs early April - i've been advised the Stoptech one's are pretty good so thinking of trying those. hopefully a few pairs of Spoon TwinBlock calipers will show up so we can both get some of those too! after that would be some tuning before maybe carrying out some minor stripping of the rear seats, similar too you have, and then may see about doing a trackday or something in 2012!

i'm lucky enough to finally get some of the Spoon Calipers! yay! i got them from Beardy on here:

i now need to get some wheel nuts and tyres for the SW388's and then these can all be installed ready for the summer months! :nice:

so my 120k service followed on the 01/04/11, which included a new cambelt and some rear discs. i went with the slotted Stoptech one's in the end following recommendations and they seem good so far :)

i'll hopefully have some further updates later in the month as i've now purchased some AD08 tyres for the SW388's, a 6k HID kit and other goodies... :nice:

Car looks well mate, and that DC5 looks aggressive, nice change to see one without a spoiler looks good.

Loved reading through this thread man. Keep up the good work :p I will be following this eagerly. :nice:
