thanks for the comments :) yeah, can't wait to get the wheels on in Spring time! :drive: i wrote quite a bit on the coilovers in this thread: http://www.ek9.org/forum/suspension/29769-hsd-hr-coilovers-buddy-club-n-dampers.html i'm getting used to them a little now so unsure whether to keep them or not! do you know much about them?

this is nice, love spoon wheels

thanks for the comments :)

nightmare today!

i've had a slow puncture for a little while and have ordered some new tyres but they've been delayed due to the Christmas post etc.
anyway, someone at work said my tyre looked low at lunch but having inflated it at the weekend, i just explained how it was okay but had noticed it had started to get quicker. i got in the car to drive it home and it was real flat so tried inflating it at a garage down the road from work but it wasn't having it so i knew it must have proper gone! i never had a jack or anything in the car so knew i had to drive to the nearest Halfords because there was no way i could go on the motorway! the noises were getting worse and worse plus i didn't want to damage the alloy so just pulled into the next Shell station i passed. i then had to walk for ages to get everything i wanted before returning. anyway, here are the pics:

the tyre was pretty shredded so i was lucky it lasted as long as it did! i'm rocking the spare now anyway so hopefully my new tyres will show up very soon!

i also have a question to ask: are both the front and back wheel hubs meant to have a cover plate over the wheel bolts? if you look at pictures 5 and 6 - 5 is front and 6 is of the back - then you will see what i mean. i was just wondering if i had lost one from the front? i have checked this in these pictures though and they appear to be the same: http://www.ek9.org/forum/general-chat/24564-ultimate-eks.html

You haven't lost any caps mate it's how they are. Looks like you had a nightmare with the tyre you will know for next time to carry a jack or some tyre foam. Looks like the poor 9 could do with a bucket and spounge thrown at it :)
I'm trying to get a meet sorted some time in Chester if your up for it a thread is up.

glad to know i've not lost any caps! thanks for confirming that :nice:

yeah, it'll be getting a wash this weekend as it's had a hard week!

i'll go take a look at the meet now as it would be great to see you :)

Nice 9 you got there buddy. The thing i love most about this thread is that you still took pics when changing the tyre even though it was a nightmare. Good effort just for that :)

They will be a lot better than the p6000's. Just need to wait for some nice weather and get some heat in them :)

thanks for putting some faith in the RS2's! they seem to get some good comments on here so fingers crossed! have you tried them? yeah, bring on the nice weather as this seems to have been a long winter! :)

may need to lower it a little more due to the reduced tyre wall but will have a think!

Yes had a set on the 16'' wheels I use to have. The rs2's grip well in the dry with a bit of heat in them. Nice to see you have cleaned your car now :nice:
