Wrong fuel strainer...basically all fuel pump kits!

Has anyone noticed that all the after market kits come with the wrong fuel pump sock/strainer?

I had to reuse my old one then it was not sealing and sucked up air when fuel was low.
Have now used the metal ring off the new strainer and it fits tight but its a blag.

My pump is an APS one but they all look wrong!
 
My Walbro strainer was 100%... You can even order the walbro strainers separate in Honda fitment
 
Tegiwa...your website photo if representative shows the wrong strainer.

The correct one is a long rectangular shape with an angled snout at about 45 degrees.
 
Spek...thats reassuring. American walbro installs on youtube all have the correct part too.
 
Where did you order the pump from? Could they have sent out the wrong one?
 
I am beginning to suspect that everybody uses stock images which show the square strainer, and that JJC's APS pump probably is shipped with that generic type strainer.
Others are probably right.
