Hi my names Ryan. Im new here. I was just curious if this would be and ok base build. I cant do a motor swap right now so I will have to stick with the stock motor.
Turbo charged maybe around 8psi
nos (Low shot)
Cold air intake
Cams
Mabye piston and rings
Full exaust system
Header
Lowered
some Sticky tires
Removed back seats and all excess weight
Stage 2 cluch
high octane fuel

Will this be ok for LIGHT street racing, LIGHT Drag racing and car meets?

Do I need to add anything?
Thanks

Our going to have a bad time.

That was running around 6psi from a t3/t04e at the time of failure. Was getting abuse on track though

How old are you? Got to be about 15?
Half of your mod list is contradictory.
Yes your right! I am 15! Almost 16 I'm not trying to be a punk im just uneducated and I want to learn! I'm 100% sure I'm getting an ek9 because its my favorite car but I'm uneducated on the rest. Sorry

street racing at 15 ? i wish i had that privilege at that age. i obviously dont know you but realistically your not going to do any of that list at the age of 15 and if you did id shake your hand, i had mad notions when i was that age too but unfortunetly reality kicks in and puts a stop to it. good luck all the same

You have to be 16 to drive in America right? You don't drive yet, yet you want to build a serious EK9 (Good luck getting one of them as well, in the States) and want to do some 'light' street racing... If you get this done, I will give you a pat on the back

I was young before (Still kinda am haha) and wanted to build an all-out race Civic. Soon I realised the reality of everything. Cost. Insurance. Legality. How stupid I was. I don't know you, so I can't judge. Just giving you some of my personal experience, so no harm done.

Good luck anyway :meet:

Glad you've come for some education, atleast that's a start.
Simply learning what all the parts on your list are and what they do will help you understand the working of engines alittle better.
Why are more aggressive cams better?
What's needed to run a wilder cam?
What kinds of piston would my build need? Why does it need that type?
What does a turbo do and how does it work? Types of turbo?
Superchargers?
Manifolds?(headers)
You can ask google so many questions and it will answer them for you.
Researching your list in depth online and you'll learn a lot. All I know is from research online and a very small amount of tutoring when I was 18.

Ok Thank you very much I will look up all theses things tonight. I just wana build an all around good ek 9 without ricing it. People are taking it the wrong way. I wana race it anywhere posible weather a track, strip, street idc lol I just wana race an ek9

Even a standard ek9 is a good all rounder.
Helps if you have a specific type of racing you want to do, you can then build a car with that in mind.
What's your favourite
Track
Drag
Street is abit silly tbh, ignoring the fact it's pretty dangerous you can't even push the car properly due to being on a street. The roads just aren't like a track, unless your drag racing on the street.
Have a look at some build threads on here, we have a good selection.
Majority are track based but we have a lot of daily drivers/all rounders aswell.
Personally I'm all for the track, drag racing bores me and feel abit abusive because your launching the car all the time.

You'll do well to get an ek9 in the states going from what other American members have said in the past

Yes indeed. You could get one into Florida - perhaps. This usually involves a lot of 'persuasion' of customs officials and time and money.

The minute you drive it out of Florida you risk it being taken off you. This is what I gathered frommy Skyline-owning past.

Why not get an Integra? Similar car!
