Hi! I'm gonna lower my car about 30 or 40mm. Was thinking of going for Eibach pro springs this time because I'm very satisfied with the EK9 shocks.

Because I need tüv papers on the springs I recon that I have to buy springs thats made for ek4 shocks..

The problem here is that the ek9 shocks already sits a little lower than the ek4..

I know the whole safe thing should be to go with a set of kw v.2 set or something, but thats not in my budget, and as I said I want to stick with the ek9 shocks.

Hope this is'nt messy written, and that you understand my question.

p.s have searched a little about this before but always end up in the answer;; BUY COILOVERS :blinx:

regards Johnny

Leave it stock [your EK9 shocks and springs on your EK4] or buy coil overs, sorry.

Springs need/should be matched up to the shock and the shock and spring combo should be matched to the car. So just buying springs and not replacing the shocks is not the ideal path to take.

I am running "pro kit" springs on mine, but its not the EK9, "pro kits" will not lower the EK9 setup you have on your EK4. The tokico illumina shocks that im running are there only because its a proven upgrade to my stock coupe suspension and the tokico coilovers were not available yet. But the illumina's work well when matched to the "pro kit" springs--on my car/setup.

You may want to look at the "sportline" springs from eibach instead of the "pro-kits", if you are only after looks. Sportline lower the height more than the pro kits on your EK9 suspension for your EK4.
