Just a simple question.... I hope

Why can't you guys in America have a right hand drive car?

they are not dot approved for u.s. road ways and do not past our smog testing it's bs and it takes 6months to a year to get a u.s. vin number you can import them it's just a pain in the ass and alot of money to be able to drive them on u.s. road ways

Oh I see so buying and importing an ek9 for the us equivilant to £6-7k importing it converting it to lhd registering it would just be a loss? I mean when you come to sell it agan you will lose money

well you can drive a rhd car it's hard to do registering it is a pain it's a lot of paper work and takes a lot of time the u.s. right now is making it harder to do cause our car sales are down so they don't want more of our money going out of the country I have a friend that has a r33gtr and it cost him $1500 dollars just to register the car and it took a year to do it so not a lot people are willing to take the time and spend the money to import jdm car's when you can take a u.s. spec and build it and make it fast. I would love to have a jdm ek9 it's just a lot of money you buy the car $18000 and then to ship $5000 and then register $1500 or more and then you can't drive it for 6 months to a year till you get a u.s. vin that's how it is in nevada but it changes in ever state just to much bs for me
