Who has owned both an EK9 and DC5?


I've had an ep3, dc5 & now ek9 :clap:

The ep3 is a good car regardless of the fact you seen about 30 of them every time you go for a drive! It puts a smile on you face, the k20 engine has a lot of low down torque, standard handling is really good. My only criticism is the lack of feel from the steering & lack of recaro's (unless you buy an anniversary or a premier)

The dc5 is quite refined & a bit dull. Personally to get the dc5 to were it needs to be you would have to, lower it, get some induction roar, exhaust, k pro list goes on & on. Standard it was really dull!

The cheapest dc5 you will get is around 8.5k plus the mods you need to do 10k++

If you want a more refined car get an ep3 for 6k, thats already been lowered etc etc save a **** load of cash :secret:

If you want pure rawness fun. keep the ek9!

need more power? stick a b18 in it! :drive:

The only thing about the dc5 is... they're so damn sexy :((
 
ive had a ek9 and my mate had a dc5 and i drove it a couple of times. the dc5 is much better, im going to buy one in August....... or a m3
 
Have had 2 DC5s and in our opinion, are nice to look at, nice to be in but are just no fun comapred to the EK9 which feels like a go cart. The DC5 feels more like a barge with torque.
The DC5 is a stunning car but just doesn't have the same fun factor.

I'm sticking with the EK9 for now..only had it since January!

Just fitted a braided clutch hose and braided brake lines and I am planning on dropping in a B18C and doing a general tidy up of the car.

We'll see how it goes, the DC5 if I get one won't be for a while yet.

in what sense you feel it was better?

speed? handling? styling?

just i was really disappointed, they do look nice though.

speed was better and the interior is so much better. ek9 does handle better tho
