Hi there guys,
i recently aquired a decat from a friend's uk vti ek4 (b16a), with the intention of fitting it to my ek9.
now, the ek4 had a spoon manifold, and spoon n1 exhaust, along with this decat, which i believe to be a skunk2 decat.
we had a quick stab at it, and it was soon clear that the flanges were of different sizes. What size is the stock ek9 cat flange, and why would it be different to this one?
i assume its a standard size, i'm just not 100% on the whole fitment of the different b-series engines yet. I'd happily swap the skunk2 decat i have for one that'll fit mine, as im not planning to change my manifold for a while (a friend of mine gained barely any bhp or torque from switching manifolds, so im happy with its performance for now).
Or, if someone can confirm the fitment of the one i have, i'll sell it on and buy the right one i need.
The flange on the other side is the same on both the decat and the stock cat, so it is literally just the larger one thats the issue.
