where to buy recaro covers

picked myself up a cool recaro SPG seat with glitter back which ive never seen on recaro's before, only ever seen this on bride seats

its just a bare shell so looking for someone to point me in the direction of new cover, foam and centre cushions

already been in contact with capital seating but just wondering if anywhere else does them?

I was sure it was only the SPG-N that came with glitter back?

I had one previously and ordered a new SPG cover only to discover it didnt fit :-(

Thanks. Looking at the labels, you have a Japanese version of the seat, which I think is slightly different to the European version. The cover kits we supply might fit but I cannot guarantee it. The best thing would be to have your seats shipped over to us here, and we have them reupholstered for you in whatever material and design you require, and then we would ship them back.

its looking like around £250+vat plus delivery to and from them
 
jesus, i guess delivery wouldn't be tho much as they shouldn't be THAT heavy. if you could even rebolster them yourself you could even ask them to find out the jap fitment and get the stuff sent to you. i'm sure they would have their sources lol
 
Do you not know anyone with an SPG who would be willing to let you try the cover on to see if it fits?

When I spoke to capital seating they said the same to me about the SPG-N, although the seat cover would not have the recaro stitching due to copyright laws.

In the end I ended up selling the SPG-N, buying an old SPG and getting a new cover kit.
 
have been sending emails to recaro europe and even they cant figure out what it is lol

Dear Leigh,

Thank you for sending the images over. Unfortunately the covers are not available in the UK, others are correct in saying that it is a Japanese RECARO seat which are different to the UK models. The seats is a combination of the Profi SPG and the Pole Position. The very top headrest part of the seat is from the SPG where as the side support and the base of the seat is the Pole Position, the only way to get covers suitable would be to have them custom made to your specs unless you can find any in Japan. If you have any problems please contact me.

i think myself that it looks very similar to NSX type R seats

although real NSX type R seats are full carbon kevlar construction

just found this thread looking for spg covers

this silver seat is a SPG N(ippon) aka Japanese SPG
it's like the SPG but made a little bit more comfortable and better for street use.
so it has a different shape

cool seat :nice:
