Right so sorry about the lack of knowledge as I don't know a lot about internals.
I'm just wondering what abuse the b16a will take before stepping into having to do some internal work
At the moment I'm running basic bolt ons mani , exhaust intake etc
Recently got a set of skunk2 cams and a Honda-r ecu .
I am now wondering if I should start doing internals as its being pushed further from standard ?
And If so where to even start ?
Any advice/opinions are very appreciated thanks !
 
b series engines are very tough and unless you are having forced induction then internals will be upto the job of bolt on mods
 
but still on standard internals u can run 300bhp, oversly forced induction. ran mine for 2 years like this then sold it. just to give u an idea how strong these engines are
 
I would suggest uprated valve springs if going with skunk2 cams, type r dual springs would probably do okay. Other than that don't think youl need interal work.
 
Which Skunk2 cams are you going for? Tuner or Pro series and what stage? Power wise, you'll be able to run standard internals for pretty much any level of N/A tune.
