What car to get now...


What about a scooby p1? cheaper to maintain than an evo. better handling than a r33. And will hold its value.

Thoughts?

That would be a great option!

I wouldn't buy an r33 except to break it. Hate the body style, hate the handling, hate the weight, hate the interior, really just don't like the car at all. Only like the engines.
 
What about a renault megane R26?

I have seen one go round knockhill a few times and it looked fairly quick.
 
E46 M3. Has the power and ability to do well on track with comfort.

That's what I'm thinking about next.
 
I personally would go for an evo 8 fq320..

Amazing pace and handling and in your budget if you look around.
If it's not a daily your laughing, servicing is every 4k I believe and and a friend gets 20mpg in his mapped mr 320..
 
I would have thought most owners on here service ther cars every 5k or so miles anyway. I know I did 3 oil changes in 6k miles with the s2k
 
Don't buy a car and go travelling lol you gotta ask yourself why you sold that EK9 - you put some serious cash into it then sold it at a massive loss? you'll only do the same with a new car.


Go travelling and don't waste it on a piece of scrap metal.
 
I'm in same situation after selling my ek9 the other month

I'm thinking fd2 but a hefty price .
 
might be going to look at a clean standard audi s3 next week :) would make a nice base for a little project.

How about Lotus Elise S1? come in on budget, economical & don't depreciate much..
