Since the kanjo EK hatch is gone. Here is the new project. welcome to the beginning of my first RSX build. This will be mainly a record/journal for myself and future record to look back on. This build is not for internet fame and is purely for my own enjoyment. Some of you just may not agree or accept some of the mods I have planned out for this car, and that is just fine because we are all entitled to our own opinions and tastes. I'm just asking politely to keep all negativity to yourselves. I'm also sharing with you fellow RSX owners and also for those who will enjoy.

Just purchased the car 12/19/2015. I drove 12 hours from Nebraska to Ohio and back for it. And it was worth every mile. I am already very much in love with the car coming from the family of 90's civics and B series engines. Here are the specs.

2005 Nighthawk Black Pearl RSX Type S
Let's start with the bad first.

CONS
-high mileage 163xxx
-lots of rock damage up front
-small rust scab on hood
-no cargo cover
-no floor mats
-moisture in passenger tail light
-OEM fogs damaged and not working

PROS
-1 owner
-car has been meticulously maintained & awesome shape for the miles
-always serviced at an Acura dealership its entire life
-have paperwork and records for all service at Acura
-non smoker
-flawless cherry interior
-no modifications
-milage doesn't matter because it's a project and will get built/swapped eventually
-rest peacefully in the garage because I have a daily

Sorry for the crappy garage photos. It's snowing outside.

I'd take it back brah...they've put the steering wheel on the wrong side :)

Only joking, looks cool:dance:

First few mods:

Got the Prosport Gauges installed that I kept from the EK.

Then I decided I would try and get rid of the moisture and sediment in the taillight.

So I removed the rear bumper and found this also quite nasty and disturbing.

So I gave it a quick scrub with a steel wool and some simple green. Wow just look at that nasty poo come off.

Finished

Ok back to the taillights. Here is before.

And then after. You can still see a few pieces that would not come out. Also the inner bottom of the housing is damaged from having water in there for so long. So this will do for now until I get new.

And all back together

Next up I got some HID foglights to replace the very damaged OEMs. Here is the kit. Just eBay. Nothing fancy.

I was lucky enough to use the OEM foglights harness so I saved a bunch of time there, being able to "plug n play". Here are the nasty OEMs. Looks like they have been done for a good while.

Also nice of eBay to include the standard halogen bulbs for a backup. Here is a comparison of the HID vs halogen.

Done

And lastly a HID Highbeam kit.

That's all for now. Thanks for looking.

Your right about that. It's also missing Type R goodies and an R engine. But I'll hopefully be fixing that within the year.

Updates:
Finally got some low Beam HIDs so car is now fully equipped with HIDs. Also got some LED interior lights.
Ok on to the goods.

Fresh new OEM floor mats.

Skunk2 Lowering Springs

Skunk2 thermal TB gasket.

And a shift boot collar/retainer

That's it for the moment but I have lots more parts currently being delivered. Those of you who love authentic Japanese parts are gonna love. Stay tuned guys.
