Regretfully, due to a pending house purchase, I am forced to sell my amazing Mk3 Golf VR6 tuned with a stage 2 Vortech Supercharger with the correct supporting engine modifications. It has been without doubt one of the best, if not the best car I have owned in my 10 years of driving. It goes great, has been extremely reliable and IMO looks absolutely amazing.

I have owned the car since January and was always intended to only keep until the summer as a nice toy until the house deposit needed replenished, which now it does.

In my ownership, i've made a handful of subtle changes to the car to put my own personal touch on what was already a really really good car. I changed all the lighting and also acquired a rare set of JDM alloys and made them fit the car perfectly (in my opinion of course)

Here's a full spec of the car as it is now. It's had mega money, time and care spent on it.

The car is immense. It's extremely quick, doesn't feel it to start with but once you start getting to the top end of the revs and its nearing full boost, the car just pulls and pulls, it runs absolutely fantastic. The charger and all the other engine mods coupled with the Quaiffe LSD make it even better to drive. I have receipts for the Quaiffe totalling almost £850 including the gearbox being fully rebuilt.

The engine has been fully rebuilt by previous owner, although there is no paperwork to prove this. I have boroscoped through the spark plug hole to have a look and it is very very clean in there so I'm taking his word for it. The quietness of the valve train and chains would also suggest its been rebuilt, and its been done to a great standard. No leaks or dirty marks anywhere, and runs sweet as a nut. Never given me one bit of grief apart from numerous trips to the petrol station :rthumb:

Always ran on V-Power or Tesco Momentum fuel. Car has been on 3 separate dyno's and has a dings between 285bhp & 296bhp. Torque between 235lb/ft & 245 lb/ft. Print outs will come with the car.

I changed the wheels over a couple months after purchase to a set of JDM Enkei RPG1's which are absolutely immaculate and set the car off an absolute treat. The wheels coupled with anodised red valves, Superforma 20mm stud adapters and red anodised Superforma wheel nuts complete the look, alongside the red Enkei rim decals. For sure the biggest and most worthy change if made to the car. I ensured I bought very good tyres for the car, so Continental Conti Contact 3 Sports were purchased for each corner, and have loads of tread. The wheels, spacers, tyres etc cost me in excess of £1000 to get them onto the car in the end, but well worth it for how it looks now.

The paintwork on the car is very very good. Has been really well looked after, however it is a 19 year old Mk3 Golf so it isn't immaculate although appears so n the pictures. There a some small areas of rust in a couple of places (front wings, rear arches (very slight) and below the rear passenger tail light (very slight), stone chips to the front end, but there is no rot on the car. Floor has had previous welding but has since been fully treated/undersea led so no worries of any more coming through. Very solid Mk3. All arches have been professionally rolled/flared to run wide/low wheels.

The other thing to note is the car currently has a crack on the windscreen. It hasn't bothered me yet, but it could get worse. I will make arrangements for the buyer, if they wish, to have the windscreen renewed through my insurance. That wouldn't be a problem at all, will most likely get this done during the next couple of weeks.

Mechanically the car is excellent with only a couple of minor issues. The ABS pump is defective and needs renewal. I have a new pump here to fit, but again it's something that hasn't bothered me too much as the car still stops without an issue. If the buyer wishes, I can make arrangement for the pump to be replaced.

The suspension on the car is cheap eBay numbers. For the performance of the car, I'd suggest they are too soft for its application. Something a bit more better would be more suited, although it is very comfortable as it is.

Interior on the car is really really comfortable. Great in the winter with the heated leather, works a treat. Airbag light is on due to the Momo steering wheel. Alpine head unit has 3.5mm jack AUX plug to listen to music from mobile phone/mp3 player. Electric everything and it all works as it should (windows, mirrors, sunroof)

MOT and TAX are both short, but will come with full years/13 months MOT and 6 months tax by end of July for the new owner.

I have receipts galore for the car. It's also been recently services using Motorsport oil 1k ago.

I still have all the old parts I removed (rear lights, headlights, fogs & indicators, & the OZ Exclusive 17" alloy wheels.

Less talking - time to show what it's like.

Small video of it on RR day

Price wise for this - I'm going to advertise it at £4500ono as it is with a fresh MOT, fresh tax and all the spares except the OZ alloys. I'm losing a few hundred quid on the car which I didn't expect, but such is life and how the car game works.

Can sell for cheaper without the Enkeis & Spacers and with the OZ's fitted - if this interests you, PM me.

Car is located in Falkirk, Central Scotland.

Call/txt 07411634270 - if I don't answer leave a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I work shifts and will also be working away a few days a week over the next couple months.

Thanks for reading

Steve

Thanks for the comments guys

The wheels are 5x100 Subaru fitment. Wouldn't sell unless the car sold first, been asked this a few times. They finish the car IMO and would prefer to give buyer the option with these wheels.

Bump

Cars currently at the garage having the ABS fault checked out, ensuring it is the pump at fault then pump will be replaced. A full check over of the car prior to its MOT.

It's also got a slight misfire and lumpy idle which has been traced to the air flow meter. New one also being fitted this week

Bump. Idle issue better but not perfect, still a bit lumpy when cold. its always been like that with the cams and the remap but its slightly worse than it has been. Going to try a coil pack see how that gets on.

Got a P/X deal kind of organised at the moment. MOT will be getting done in the next fortnight as will 6 months tax.

Brand new air flow meter fitted and cars running perfect again.

Trying to get hold of a new/pre owned genuine VW VR6 front bumper splitter as the cheap eBay number is rubbish and broken.

MOT test early next week.

12 months MOT and 6 months road tax now applies to the car :)

BUMP

Can adjust the price to suit with different wheels or no wheels.

£4500ono as pictured - make me an offer
£3700 on 17" OZ Exclusives in gunmetal grey
£3500 on 15" BBS VR6 OEM Wheels
