So I was out for a drive in my 9 the other night and noticed something on my left, turns out it was the needle on my voltage gauge moving about. It sits just under 14v 80% of the time but occasionally drops to just over 12v. Now I know its not just a dodgy connection from the gauge to alternator because I could see my lights dipping at the same time....
Had a quick search and found the voltage stabiliser in the alternator to be named as the culprit a few times. Do I need a new alternator then?
